The Parent Teacher Organization

The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a group of parents and educators that work together for the benefit of the students’ Prestwood School. The main focus is to foster and enhance quality learning and life experiences for all Prestwood students. To this end, the PTO raises funds through out the year. The three main fundraisers are Prestwood Direct, The Benefit Ball and the Jog-a-thon.  The PTO meets once a month on the first Monday (usually) of every month.  See the calendar for exact dates.

Prestwood PTO - Sponsored Programs and Chairs

The Prestwood PTO sponsors many student programs

involving parent volunteers as an integral part of our

children's educational experience.  If you would like to

volunteer on any of these programs please contact the

chair of PTO President.

Prestwood Direct: Lisa Ziganti & Deanna Ramsey

Prestwood Direct is the main PTO fundraiser.  Instead of

asking Prestwood parents and students to sell cookies or

wrapping paper we ask that you make a donation directly

to the school.  One hundred percent of your donation

goes to Prestwood and it is 100% tax deductible.

Benefit Ball: Gilly O'Donnell

The Benefit Ball is a fun-filled evening featuring dinner,

dancing, silent and live auctions and many surprises.  It is

a themed event designed to bring parents together to

raise fun and funds.

Jog-a-thon: Erin Cline & Britta Johnson

Get on your track shoes.  Prestwood students will run the

track to raise funds for their school.  Students can get

friends and family to sponsor them per lap or for a set

amount.  This event allows the students to take the lead

in earning funds for their school and promotes good

health.

Dine and Donate:  Lynda Benson

Local restaurants and specialthy shops will donate a

percentage of your tab to Prestwood School.  Look for

flyers to come home with your child.  This is a great way

to donate back to the school and enjoy and evening

without cooking.

Escrip: Tricia Baker

Escrip is a fund raising program that allows participating

merchants to contribute a percentage of your Safeway

cards, credit card, and debit/ATM card purchases to

Prestwood School.  Sign up at http://www.escrip.com/

and enter Prestwood School ID 136556182.

Box Tops: Kristi Lanusse

Box Tops For Education is a school fundraising program

started by General Mills.  It is easy to earn money for our

school, simply clip Box Tops from participating brands and

turn them in to the school office; each one is worth 10

cents for Prestwood.  There are hundreds of participating

products.  For a complete list go to

www.boxtops4education.com.
