PRESTWOOD DRESS CODE
While on campus students are expected to be groomed neatly and dressed in good taste. Clothing should be appropriate for the season and for school activities.
· Hats are not to be worn indoors.
· Short-shorts, halters, thin strapped tank tops, or shirts with bare midriffs are not to be worn.
· Clothing with pictures of guns, knives, or wording that is offensive, or that promote the use of alcohol or drugs may not be worn..
· Roller shoes, sandals, flip-flops, heels, or high platform shoes present a safety hazard and are not to be worn.
Students who are dressed inappropriately will be sent home by the principal to change clothes, or will be given a “loaner” shirt.
· Please do not allow your child to bring expensive items such as Ipods or similar devices to school. They distract from the learning process of all children, and can get stolen or lost. If they are brought to school, they will be taken into safe-keeping by the teacher and brought to the office as soon as the teacher can leave the classroom. The parent will be asked come and pick up the item. The school is not responsible if the item is lost or stolen from your child’s backpack.
· We understand that some of you need your child to have a cell phone for safety reasons after school. It must remain in the backpack for the same reasons as above. The above rules will apply if the phone is taken out of the child’s backpack. The school is not responsible if the item is lost or stolen from your child’s backpack.
